Gareth and his wife Joy operate Suncoast Biplanes with their Waco biplane, Gracie. Suncoast Biplanes is the only open-air cockpit aerial tour company in Southwest Florida, offering year-round sightseeing tours and thrilling aerobatic experiences. Originally from the UK, Gareth’s passion for flying began with the Air Training Corps, where he soloed in a sailplane at 17. After moving to the USA in 2001, he took a Discovery Flight in a Cessna 150, igniting a lifelong love of aviation. Since then, Gareth has shared the exhilaration of open-air biplane flights with hundreds of passengers. Gareth and Joy reside in Lake Suzy, FL, near Punta Gorda and the Sunseeker Resort. Lake Suzy is a peaceful neighborhood teeming with wildlife, including sandhill cranes, blue herons, alligators, bald eagles, ibis, egrets, and pelicans. The couple has five children—Isaac, Debs, Timmy, Bryce, and Sean—and four grandchildren—Nehemiah, Norah, Andrew, and Beatrice.
